Stranded

So, after spending 5+ hours in the state archives, researching a particular artifact currently at Mayfield Junior, we heard a peculiar “clunk” when the steering wheel was turned to the right.

Possible diagnosis? Mike needs a new swing bar (?) and there are no junkyards in this town with old VW bus parts. We are settling in for a looooonnnnggggg weekend.

Where are we?

P.S. we found an outdoor music concert (free!) with ’80’s music! We are feeling fine!

P.P.S. Apparently, women in this town do not often wear head scarves to ward off the light rain and evening cold. Aleikom Assalam!

What no spare parts in Cheyenne? How was the The Champions show?

I’ve lost track where in the world you can be. Let us know if we need to start combing the junkyards in the LA area. Fed Express can work like a charm. We have relatives in Ohio and New Jersey should you need a friend. Safe travels. We would like to see a healthy and clean-shaven Head Master on September 4th with his independent lovely wife greeting her own school kids.

Let’s see…the woman singing in the concert is wearing a plaid kilt. Scotland? And then you have on a head scarf. You are in Egypt. How did you get the van overseas? Chitty Chitty Bang Van!?
